It rained last night and most of the morning. It also snowed in the high bits. After breaking the fast we hit the frog and toad to find a kiwi at the West Coast Wildlife Centre. There were two there so we crossed that off the bucket list. It was a bit pricey there, despite the opportunity to also see the Tuatara. It was also informative about the glaciers.
The town of Hokitika was worth a visit with jade shops being plentiful. We motored north towards the town of Greymouth. It’s seen better days but being the home of Monteith’s Brewery, is well worth the visit (great place for tea as well).
Found a cheap camper van park in town after living it up at the Top 10 Parks in the glacier country.
