Walking Queenstown

With Cecil and Walter Peaks, tag teaming with The Remarkables all day, we explored the town and walked along the shore of Lake Wakatipu. It was a late start after a sleep in to catch up on the 3.30am start from yesterday. Booked our snow shuttle/lift passes for Tuesday and Wednesday, managed to find reasonably priced ski gloves and goggles (both < $100), and purchased groceries at the local 4 Square.

Interesting fact learnt from our taxi diver yesterday, the bottom of the lake is lower than sea level.

Queenstown travel tip: the cost of a taxi for 4 of us was about the same as it would cost for all of us to take the shuttle into town.
